Pen Tool Self Portrait Cartoon

The strongest area of my work was creating the facial expression because I felt as if it was really easy to give my cartoon a happy facial expression. The areas of my work that can be improved on is the hands, and the line up because it was very challenging to make them look identical, one side always comes out bigger or smaller than the other one. The easiest part about this activity was coloring my cartoon because I already knew what colors I wanted to use and how I wanted it to look. The difficult part about this activity was drawing the cartoon, I struggled on drawing the face & body. The materials I used in Illustrator were the pen tool, I used that for sketching out the cartoon. In Photoshop I used the brush tool to color my cartoon, the dodge and burn tool to make my cartoon darker or lighter, the ellipse tool to make the pupils for my eyes, and the quick selection tool to select certain parts of my cartoon to color. I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by drawing an original image of myself in a cartoon format, and generating a pen tooled digital cartoon over an original drawing in Illustrator and apply color in Photoshop. If I could do this art activity again I would give my cartoon a different facial expression, give it different clothing, and a different hairstyle.

Mix Media Polaroid

The strongest area of my work is the my quote because it was easy to choose with my photo. The area of my work that can be improved the most is my background photo because I feel like it's not neat enough. The easy part of this activity was editing the photo because I knew how I wanted it to look. The difficult part was creating the background photo because I didn't know what I wanted to put. The materials I used were Filter Gallery, Free Transform, Rotate, Opacity & Fill. I demonstrated the goal by creating a mixed media self-portrait that uses a combination of Photoshop and other materials in a dynamic composition that has depth. If I did this activity again I would change the background & the photo.

The strongest area of my work is the big K made out of K's on the left side because I started the project off with that and I thought it would look pretty cool to make one big K out of smaller K's, and have different designs in them. The area of my work that can be improved is the smaller K that's made out of K's on the right side because I originally wanted it to match the same size as the big K on the left side but there wasn't enough space for it, I also feel like I could've done better with designing it. The easy part about this activity was just making the letter K look cool, it was easy to make bigger K's and smaller ones, and adding different effects to them. The difficult part about this activity was coming up with an idea for the letter K. I was stuck on what I wanted to do and how I wanted it to look. The materials I used were Filter Gallery, Free Transform, Warp, Distort, Rotate, Skew, Noise, Opacity & Fill, I used Filter Gallery for each K I put up there, I also added warp to some of them so it can look the K's are slanting back, and when I used skew it made the K's look small then big. I demonstrated the goal in this activity by using a letter and using basic Photoshop tools to make a cool design. If I did this activity again I'd definitely change the patterns of the letter and use different colors.
